The use of Biodiesel contributes to a healthier environment.
It has been demonstrated that “B-20” used in a commercial bus fleet resulted in nominally lower operational costs*. The purchase cost of Biodiesel itself varies with its source:
a. Direct from an agricultural source, such as soy, will vary with the market driven levels of a demand market.
b. From a renewable source, specifically “yellow grease”, collected from restaurants (including hotels, schools…) is a valuable resource, since it is not dependent on agri-market fluctuations, and is more cost efficient.
Both of these sources—agricultural and renewable,, produce Biodiesel to the same EPA standard (“ASTM……). |
